In the beginning...
Simply one of the most beautiful songs ever written, 'You Can't Win Them All Mum' is tragically funny and deeply moving. I have covered the song and people laugh at the lyrics, in particular the line– 'Your ashtray is full and you've let down your dad and you'll never get married and it makes your mum sad'. This describes most young men in the West of Scotland. One does of course grow up, get married, find Jesus, lose him again and then get divorced. Where do you go when you make a mess like that? Your mum. Why? Because she always loves you.

Fantastic
The most under rated band ever. Early nineties was full of them and their fab lyrics and great tunes. This is my favourite. Go search them out. They are worth a listen and they get inside your head and stay there 20 years on
