Customer Reviews
awesome
cooler than franz ferdinand, more fun than coldplay, more sober than babyshambles, more arty than hard-fi, younger than the editors and you have the subways
Simply Superb
This album was more than a promising start for a new band. Heavier stuff, mixed with some soaring melodies. Bliss.
Whoa! Slow down a bit sparky!
Let me just point out I admire the Subways for grabbing success at a tender age, and of course their fearsome energy. But, though this energy and Billy Lunn's Craig Nicholls/Alex Turner vocal is very imaginative, it doesn't hide this fact that these songs are so very simple, a three-year old could play them. This isn't neccessarily a bad thing as 'Rock 'n' Roll Queen', the dancy 'Oh Yeah' and the mini-epic 'Lines of Light' are great tunes. The Subways have plenty of time to grow, and they could potentially become very, very good indeed Download: Rock 'n' Roll Queen, Lines of Light
