Customer Reviews

As good as I'd hoped

It was always going to be hard to follow In Ghost Colours, and I must admit I was preparing myself for a bit of disappointment with this album for that reason. Take Me Over didn't encourage me either - although I liked it, it didn't feel like a big step forward. But I'm thrilled to say they have done a mighty fine job here, as far as I'm concerned. Ok, it probably doesn't top IGC, but for me it's a very worthy follow-up.

Zonoscope has more of a progressive, atmospheric sound than before, but still has much of the same catchy tunes and pop sensibilities. Need You Now is the perfect opener - builds and builds up to the euphoric pop moment of last few minutes. The first 6 songs are the most instantly catchy on the album. Apart from Sun God, the second half of the album does take a good few plays to really get into, but there's more good than bad. Most of these songs actually sound quite summery in a way, so they will probably sound great at the festivals later in the year.

So yeah, while it was asking an awful lot to better the brilliant In Ghost Colours, Zonoscope is a brilliant album in it's own right in my opinion. It's every bit as good as I hoped for, and more.

Gud song

Quite slow in parts not emo enough

Cut Copy.....it was worth waiting!

I am amazed by this great album and I listen to it the whole day from morning to the night. Sun God is wonderful, Where I'm Going is great too and the others of course are also cool. Thumbs up for this album!
I also found another album called "Rebellion der Traeumer" by "KOLLEKTIV TURMSTRASSE". I am sure that you will love it as much as I do. So, enjoy it!!

Cut Copy started in 2001 as a solo project by songwriter, producer, and DJ Dan Whitford, who released the single 1981 and the EP I Thought of Numbers before drafting...
