AroundMe allows you to quickly find out information about your surroundings.
How many times have you found yourself in need of finding the closest Petrol Station?
AroundMe quickly identifies your position and allows you to choose the nearest Bank, Bar, Petrol Station, Hospital, Hotel, Movie Theatre, Restaurant, Supermarket, Theatre and Taxi.
AroundMe shows you a complete list of all the businesses in the category you have tapped on along with the distance from where you are.
For every listing you can choose to see its location on a Map, view the route from where you are, add the information to your contact list or even email the information to a friend.
The Nearby listing allows you to find information using Wikipedia about what is around you.
Fast, easy and accurate. AroundMe is your ideal day to day companion.
NB: When AroundMe Weather push feature is active the app make a continue use of GPS running in the background that can dramatically decrease battery life.

Ratings and Reviews
A must have app
Brilliant it knows where you are and gives good results. As touring caravan people we have been all over Europe and it has been a godsend as wherever we went we could find the nearest fuel station or supermarket and even ATM so we wouldn’t be without it.
Broken with new “weather feature”
It seems the developers have decided we need another weather app, so they’ve added that feature to AroundMe.
Unfortunately, you can’t use the app any more if you don’t agree to grant permanent access to your device location - which they need to tell you what the weather is like where you are (lol).
I don’t want to grant access so I can’t use the app any more.
They’ve only given the choice to grant access or exit the app.
I don’t think they have thought this through!
App forcing you to have location on always
This app update won’t work unless you give in to having the app run in location services on always now. If you have it set to when using the app you can’t get past the screen that asks you to grant permission for this, it seems like they’re trying to circumvent apples privacy protection settings. Sadly this app will now be removed from my iPad and iPhone as I won’t be forced to use a weather feature I don't need and hand over my location 24/7
