Waste of time
Absolute waste of time... Won't allow you to buy a ticket... And no response from Arriva as to the problem being fixed.... Avoid it...!!! Hope their service is better than their App...!!!
Arriva have defied my expectations of how wrong they can get it.
Using iOS 5.1 and this app is a complete waste of time. Tells me my PIN is incorrect when it's not, says there is a handset date mismatch with the ticketing server which requires a phone reboot to correct, it displays "no signal" when I have plenty which won't generate the appropriate ticket colour, the spinning logos vibrate (or sometimes judder erratically without any rotation at all) and tickets frequently disappear even without updating my phone. Bus drivers are often alluding that I've somehow plagiarised the application as it isn't working as intended. Application updates have never fixed any outstanding issues and customer service take over 5 working days to respond to my queries and complaints, much less do anything about it. So many times it has been rejected, leading to extra fare charges on top of the £49.50 I've already paid for a 4-Weekly Midlands Saver, without reimbursement. Paper tickets are extortionate. If it wasn't for the fact I can't drive, I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole.
Still bugged
The basic function of the App works fine. I find it easier to select Midlands as my 'zone' as its the same price as all the local ones and lets you travel between them (I'm using the 4-weekly ticket)
Only problem is the Arriva spinning icon on the ticket doesn't spin as smoothly as it did when the App first came out, it vibrates quite erratically and most drivers question it when I try and board - needs to be fixed!
