1. How to add video with USB
- Run iTunes 9.1 or above
- Device->My Device(My iPad)->Apps, drag and drop files to the AVplayerHD's documents
2. The optimal speed when advancing its playing speed can differ depending on the way it’s compressed and the size.
Video clips of XVID (AVI) 720 x 480 can be fast played up to 1.3-1.5 times faster than normal.
High quality video clips of 720P (1280 x 720) or more are recommended for MP4 format.
MP4, MOV, M4V formats that QuickTime supports can be played up to 1080P by using H/W Decoder but, Post Processing function isn’t provided.

Better than I expected
I had some tutorial .mov files on CDs that I had bought and I wanted to take them from the discs and watch on the ipad. This app is perfect. I was able to copy the files across using itunes without having to convert them and then I organised all 180 videos into chapter folders within the app. The video and sound quality is excellent. So for me this app has been perfect for my needs in every way.
Almost never bought this...
... Due to some of the other views, but I'm instantly satisfied for what I wanted it for - very quickly transferred some videos (720p, via USB)& absolutely no issue watching them. Played perfectly, looked beautiful & just worked...
Note, the above is all I've used this for do far, can't comment on other claimed features.
Great if you have kids too!
Lockable folders allow you to safely have age-restricted material hidden away. Also you can add movies from any machine even ones you are not synced with.
Plays much wider range of formats without conversion - mkv particularly useful. Used it both with my iPad1 and 3 - the latter coping with 1080.
