A fun app but very limited info

So Ok this is for age 4+, but my geography recall and knowledge of flags is so basic that the level was about right! I have used it so far to embed knowledge of relative positions of countries in Europe plus their flags, and now working around the globe. The information per country is just ridiculously limited. Basically one fact and a few stats. So don’t expect your children to learn much about each location. I downloaded Brittanica for that purpose (and there is always Google / Google Maps of course. Also, I would like to listen to my own music while browsing, but this app takes charge of the sound when it launches. Yes, I have switched off the music using settings / atlas. But there is no option to switch off the sound effects, which are annoying so have to turn the sound down when using it. It’s quite fun to use even for adults and I am sure that children must love it.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for your review of the Barefoot World Atlas. We're pleased to hear that you've been embedding knowledge of the European flags. The aim of the app is to allow children to explore a wide range of places which many customers seem to enjoy. We will look into amending the settings to allow you to be able to switch off the sound effects as well as the music. We appreciate you sending us this feedback. Many thanks from the Barefoot Team!

How do I turn the sound off

Great app but no settings menu to turn off the music

Developer Response ,

Glad you're enjoying the app. You can switch off the music by going into your device Settings > Atlas > Music. Let us know if you need any further information. Best wishes from the Barefoot Team!

Excellent

This app is fabulous. The update 21 hours ago is a real success however I am disappointed by the World of Football being taken off. I thought it was a good touch and it would keep the teenage generation. This app is years old but it’s still incredible. It gives a virtual 3D tour with illustrations of animals, buildings, cars and art. Each equipped with a real photo and facts. The pictures need to be updated to stay up to date. To stay relevant which I will always think they are, they should set up a page where people upload a photo or two and they choose the first two pictures to be uploaded on to the app. It would be great to hear back. Wonderful World-class app. BRING BACK FOOTBALL

Developer Response ,

Thanks for sharing your feedback. Sorry you are missing football but it felt like it gave the app an unbalanced skew which is why we haven't included it in the latest upgrade. I'm glad you are enjoying the rest of it and we definitely appreciate your comments about keeping the photographs up to date. Best wishes from the Barefoot Team!
