Customer Reviews
Basic and not intuitive
Tried using this in Spain and found it frustrating to use. Insufficient images, limited sounds, poor maps, search options confusing. Ended up using my Birds of Northern Europe app where possible which is superb in it's sophistication. This app needs much more work to become useful to birdwatchers. For now, carry a book.
Good first effort
As a new app this is good. The pictures and info are comprehensive without being over the top. The identify section is a bit long winded, but does narrow the field down well. This is achieved by elimination, rather than having to input bits of information.
A couple of things that could be improved in future updates are.
1) the search window is extremely small and awkward to use. Especially if you have large fingers.
2) you have to input the full name of the bird you are searching for, before anything happens. It would be easier if the search narrowed down as letters were inserted.
But apart from these issues, worth the outlay,
Good app
Fairly good ap covers most species, some notable exceptions Iberian Chiffcaff for start
