The Cards app from Apple lets you create and send beautifully crafted, real greetings cards personalised with your own text and photos — straight from your iPhone or iPod touch. Take a quick snapshot and with a few taps and swipes, an elegant thank-you note or “wish-you-were-here” card is on its way to any letterbox in the world. Choose from dozens of designs and customise your card with a personal message and photo. Then select a postal address from your Contacts and place your order in seconds. All your cards are saved automatically, so it’s easy to send an invitation or birth announcement to more than one person.
Custom letterpress cards

Delivery notification
• Cards sent to US addresses make use of the United States Postal Service Intelligent Mail® barcode

Delivery is slow
Such a shame as the app is not that bad but the delivery is way to slow mine took 10 days to arrive and well after my intended event. In all honesty you would be better making it yourself at home and posting. At nearly £4.00 a card apple have let themselves down.
Fairly good app - iPad version is missing :(
It is a great idea since nowadays - apart from the very touristic places - it is more and more difficult to find postcards and almost impossible to find stamps. And some of our contacts (grandmas, aunties, uncles ..) they prefer to receive a printed card.
The cost is quite high, but I don't think you would send thousands of these cards.
There is something annoying where you write the address of the sender and the receiver. I think by default it should use the address saved in your Apple ID details (and then the user can modify it). Then, I don't understand why when you choose from existing addresses in your contact list it does not take the input of the country but it always ask you to prompt it.
Not a major flaw, but I would classify it as a bug.
Please add an iPad version of this.

Letterpress lives
There's a lot of upset about the price, I agree it's discussing that it's more expensive than the US, but I can only think its due to the fact there printed in the US and we pay the international shipping rate.
Price aside, they print these cards using letterpress, this isn't just a laser jet quick and cheep job this is almost like a hand crafted card! It's brilliant!
Also many comments are complaining about the 10 day shipping time. These are custom printed cards shipped from the USA what do you expect.
When they add more customisation it will be better. I would give it 5 stars but due to the price and the fact it's in it's early days 4 will do.
