Terrific mix of puzzles and plays really well. Quick crossword quite hard, but there's a sliding scale of help available. You can get a hint or a clue, but using this adds to your complete-it time - clever. Good that it works offline, so can play on the tube, train, etc.
Disappointing
I purchased this app as I assumed the codeword puzzles would be the Alphapuzzles published daily in the Express. Unfortunately this is not the case. There are no time limits, no degrees of difficulty, apart from easy, medium, hard and no cryptic clues. There should also be a random mode so that puzzles of differing degrees of difficulty are presented automatically.
Why a bog- standard codeword puzzle should be included in an Express Newspaper games bundle when the paper only publishes it's superior Alphapuzzle is a mystery. Not only is it very disappointing, it is misleading as it is passing off an inferior puzzle that is never published in the paper instead of the Alphapuzzle the paper is noted for.
Fantastic game
Great mix of puzzles, keeps me plenty busy on the trip into work on the tube.
