Description

Got 5 minutes to spare? Why not Do Some Good...

Do Some Good is an app full of fun bite-sized actions, each of which take less than 5 minutes to complete on your mobile.

There are all sorts of things you can lend a hand with – from taking wildlife photos in your local park to completing a survey on the bus to work, and the best thing is that all of the actions help UK charities.

Besides the warm fuzzy feeling you get from giving a little of your time, you’ll also get an award every time you complete an action. Plus, if you give 4 hours (that’s 60 actions), you’ll get an exclusive music reward from Orange RockCorps Collective.

You can see the difference you’ve made on your profile. What’s more, you can share your favourite actions, and how much good you’ve done, with your friends on Facebook and by email.

And if we all take 5 minutes to Do Some Good, together, we can make a big really difference.

Just to be clear, Apple Inc. is not responsible for the contents of this application, the actions that you complete or for the nature of your relationship with RockCorps if you decide to apply for their reward

What's New in Version 1.2

Nice

Nice app with simple and efficient layout to do some good for a change :-). However, Needs more variety of actions please! But great idea!

Poor concept, poor app

A terrible concept that undermines and dilutes traditional volunteering. A poorly populated app that is basic, graphically under developed and generally awkward to use and disappointing. You'd be far better going out and doing some real volunteering.

Great way to volunteer and help lots of charities

I really like this app, some might call it 'basic' but I think 'simple' is better, and I like the simplicity.
You can choose from a growing range of actions (they do need to add more, but it looks like there are new ones every few weeks and you can do some more than once) for charities big and small.
My only criticism is that some actions require you to do a lot, to ones where you ave to map, take a real time picture etc are hard to do as you ave to remember the action at the right time, and be able to do them right then. It's obvious these are an issue as they have hardly been used compared to the others.
I really want to volunteer but struggle to find the time to do it, so an app like this is great for me.
Looking forward to it getting to a point where there are lots to choose from.
