Don't download this new update!

I've always been a fan of ID, but this new update has just down graded Doom on the App Store. Now keep in mind that I already had Doom on my iPod before this new update. When I updated Doom, I was not happy. The music sounds more horrible now and the strafing controls are hard to get use to now. The only good thing about it, I guess, is that it's more darker, which personally I don't really like, although others might like that. This game is now "ok" which is why I'm giving it 3 stars. I don't hate ID or Doom by any means, it's just that ID needs to make Doom the way it used to be before this update! Thanks for listening.

OMG... current update is a shambles!?

Guys?! What are you doing with these Doom games on iOS?! This used to be a really excellent game for my iphone, but now... where do I even start?!

Firstly, is it just me, or did the previous version of this mobile game have much easier movement dynamics? i.e. Pressing forwards now slowly builds momentum as you accelerate into normal speed - rather than just moving you forwards... why?!

If you’re standing, literally, right beside a wall switch and press left, you slowly crawl sideways and then lurch over to the other side before you can press the middle-screen (open command) in time... Pre-update, this type of scenario wasn’t even a thing, you just walked up to a switch and bob’s your uncle!

Re: Double-tapping for automatic-fire... *total face-palm* ...why not just have continuous-shooting on for as long as you hold the fire button?!??! You know, like the original game?!? To actually activate this auto-fire feature you have to time your finger-tapping with surgical precision... 90% of the time, you have just lost half of your health before you’ve even managed to shoot your gun properly - I’m not exaggerating, this makes a beloved, legendary game so frustrating to play that you’ll want to throw your phone at the wall before completing the first level!

Also, picking-up on another reviewer’s comment, the game seems very dark all of a sudden too?? Sigh, oh well... what an unnecessarily disappointing situation... PLZ UPDATE SOON!

If you are gonna get doom read this

This is a great game. I love the concept and how you blast aliens and other creatures and monsters, but the moving controls do need work on. And when you try to open doors it’s hard to figure out how. So if you could hint it a bit more that would be great. Also it is really hard. But I guess that is the point of the game. You need to practice a lot to enjoy it. And to learn how to play that’s something you gotta do. And maybe more/more powerful weapons. Also you can’t move the gun cursor to aim, so when you shoot the gun/weapon you have to wait for the cursor to go red and only then it hits the alien/monster. But overall it’s a great and classic shooter game.
