Description
There are 1 million empty homes in Britain and 2 million families in need of a place to call home. But not all empty homes are known to the local council. You can help stop this senseless waste by reporting empty homes. This app enables you to do so easily and on the move.
This Empty Homes Spotter app was created as part of The Great British Property Scandal season on Channel 4 featuring architect/presenter George Clarke.
It's the best way to report an empty home when you’re on the move. All you need to do is locate the empty property on a map or input the address and then the details will be sent directly to the relevant council. You can also include a photo if you want.
None of your submissions will be published, but the council may get in touch with you to report any progress made.
So please do help create a register of empty homes and move them one step closer to getting them back into use.
