Description
Find out your current location on a GB Map, whilst in Great Britain.
This app will give you your GB Grid Ref (Ordnance Survey / OS Grid Reference), along with a Compass Bearing and Latitude and Longitude values in both OSGB36 and WGS84 formats.
The accuracy of the Device GPS signal will also be shown.
Includes a handy graphical guide to the "National Grid" system.
Whilst the app will work worldwide, the values given will only be of use within the United Kingdom.
Ideal for use on walks. Always carry a map and physical compass in addition to your iPhone.
For the best accuracy, use in an open space, away from trees or hill edges.
Like a traditional compass, use with the phone in a flat position, not upright.
When continued usage is required, you can set the iPhone Screen to stay on indefinitely, from the Settings tab.
Send or Share your location information in a Text Message (or iMessage), Email or Tweet*
This app requires Location Services to be enabled in your iPhone, and you must grant permission to the app to use these.
Compatible with iPhone. Not compatible with iPod Touch, or (non-cellular) iPads, due to the lack of GPS and Compass hardware.

Simple and effective
I’ve been looking for a simple app, to provide me with 10 figure grid references, for over a year. My search is over! Thank you.
Excellent grid reference finder UK/IE
I used to make quite a bit of use of another grid reference finder (reporting road defects, marking wildlife sites, recording filming areas etc). I particularly like the facility to look up the coverage of an iOS grid square without leaving the app and going on the Internet.
This app is better. It has more sharing options than the previous one (maybe could add FB Messenger?). One feature this app lacks is the ability to convert an OS grid ref (other than your present position) to lat/long. If it would offer this in OSGB / WGS, then it would be great. Addition of maps would be perfect; though I expect licensing issues may be prohibitive for the developer.
Summary recommended.
Does the job well
An app that does one job and does it well, with a uncluttered screen layout. I use it when taking photos when doing landscape surveying as I need to record both the coordinates and the direction the camera was facing. The only improvement I can think of would be the ability to copy the grid ref data on the home screen to allow it to be pasted into a spreadsheet app
