Description
Pastebot is a powerful new clipboard manager that stores text and images copied from your iPhone/iPod Touch. Copy something you want to save, run Pastebot and it automatically gets imported for you to access later.
Organize your clippings in folders and use the built-in search to find what you saved quickly. Run a “Find & Replace” filter on a block of text or convert an image into Black & White. Flawless Execution
Having purchased Weightbot and Convertbot previously I was already expecting great things from Pastebot, although I was surprised at just how much more useful this app is.
My iPhone now feels much more like an extension of my Mac, with a gorgeous and innovative UI handling the transfer and organisation of data types. The extra tools for text and image manipulation are an especially welcome bonus.
Well worth the price. This is a definite "first screen" app.
Amazing
With Sync to Mac feature I can add links, pix or notes to my texts (emails, docs, blog posts, anywhere you can do cmd+V - EVEN PICTURES RIGHT INTO PHOTOSHOP or TEXT TO ILLUSTRATOR!) with just holding my thumb on it on the iPhone and it transfers it through Mac's clipboard right in the place. The sexiest thing I've seen. C'est un magique!
Just be careful - once connected to Mac, EVERYTHING you copy on your Mac while working gets onto your iPhone - that can be many many useless items.
Excellent app
This is exactly what I've been looking for. I use it mostly to hold email templates; the app uses the title of the note as the subject field, and the note text as the message. It works very well!
I'm also finding it useful for composing forum posts offline. Much easier to write a bunch of them, then go online, paste & post, than to compose online in the often-tiddly text box. Also, if the post fails to submit, the text is still available in PasteBot.
UPDATE: I've had this app for a while now, and I can't count how many times I've used it for all sorts of miscellaneous tasks. One time I had to compose a long SMS which had to be very carefully worded, so I wrote it on the Mac, and used Pastebot to zap it over to the phone for sending. I've also used the app for collecting gift ideas (which I save in a folder), and taking meeting notes.
The ability to transfer photos to/from the Mac extremely quickly and easily has also come in incredibly handy many times.
