Description
Lakeland Fells takes the coordinates and heights of the fells in Cumbria and The Lake District and packs them into one handy application.
Each fell can be viewed individually or on a map and each fell is accompanied by a Grid Reference of your choice. The fells can be represented in Ordnance Survey Grid References (OS Grid), Military Grid Reference System (MGRS), Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) or good old Latitude and Longitude.
With Lakeland Fells, you can also keep a record of your ascents, add your own photograph of the fell, discover the fells around you as well as navigate to your chosen fell.
If you have NavigX for iPhone installed, you can even send a fell's coordinates to NavigX for iPhone and add them into your Waypoint Directory.
Furthermore, you can even use Lakeland Fells to help you if you get into trouble on the hills with the SOS Message facility.

Like it a lot
As a stand alone little app for 59p, you really can't fault this. All of the hills in Cumbria in one place and its really easy to keep a log of what you've climbed and when. I like that you can take your own picture to add to it too.
What makes this app even better for me is that you can send a hill to NavigX as a waypoint and then navigate to it using a really simple GPS screen. That's really what does it for me. It's like having a reference book and a personal navigator all in one place.
Well done on creating such a handy little app at a pretty reasonable price!
Good for a record
If you're like me and enjoy ticking off your summits then this is a good app to do that with. Cheap and cheerful with no frills.
