The Liverpool Design Festival was launched in 2009 as a new annual design and contemporary craft festival.
The 2010 Festival presents the show piece Design Show featuring over ninety contemporary designer makers, presenting a range of exciting and inspiring interior products, glass, ceramics, furniture, lighting, jewellery, textiles and fashion - all set against the stunning backdrop of St George's Hall in the heart of Liverpool.
The 2010 Festival, building on the success of the previous year’s events, celebrates and promotes quality design, encouraging an appreciation of craft and design by the widest possible audience, providing opportunities for participation, particularly by young people, in design and artistic appreciation whilst also supporting new and emerging practitioners.

Nice but has issues
Looks good from a design pov as it should but why bombard people with messages on startup? Also why when I want directions to venues it takes me out the app? Could you not contain all this in the app?

Very well designed and easy to use!
This app gives you a lot of information in a very clear way. Very easy to use, and well made!
Maps and directions not such an issue
Well designed and I don't have an issue with the request for directions taking you out of the app. Granted it might have been possible to have it take place within the app given time and money but this is a free app for a limited period only and done for love and very little money. The bombarding of messages? It's just the Festival telling you what to expect this year. It's hardly asking you to buy anything.
This is a good start, nice and clearly designed and a useful Festival guide at the touch of a button and as such deserves more than two stars.
