Rise of the Machinarium
I utterly adore this game and I simply cannot recommend it highly enough.
Charming, gorgeous, clever, and deliciously dark, Amantia are the Tim Burton of iOS gaming and should be extremely proud of this flawless port of the flawless PC version. Yes, the fact that it is pretty challenging has been well documented, but that makes it all the more satisfying as you progress through some of the trickier puzzles. I've definitely found myself punching the air or on more than one occasion!
Playing Machinarium through to it's glorious end is such an epic experience that it pulls of the unthinkable - it surpasses the mighty Monkey Island 2: LeChucks Revenge and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP as the finest iPad point-and-click adventure money can buy. In fact, I'd even argue that it may even be the the best game of any genre on the entire App Store. Yup, Machinarium is a serious contender for the much coveted '2011 Game of the Year'. It'll certainly be getting my vote!
Seriously I cannot recommend this fabulous game highly enough. My advice is to buy it now or miss out on something genuinely exceptional.

If you've downloaded this game, then you only have yourselves to blame. The first line on the app description clearly states PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GAME IS FOR IPAD2 ONLY! Furthermore, theres a big 'ipad 2 only' warning slapped on the very first screenshot. Both of these warnings were clearly stated from the moment the game was released onto the App Store and have always been there!
Come on, please don't drag the ratings down with pathetic 1-star reviews. This is a truly exceptional game that is fully deserving of high-score reviews. The developers are a small indie outfit who should be celebrated and supported. If you're naive enough to download any game without looking at the app description and screenshots, do you really think that you have a right to complain? I don't..!!
Do the right thing and contact Apple Customer Care with your 'issues' and remove your inappropriate 1-star reviews. Thankfully 99.9% of us are sensible enough to know what we're buying BEFORE we buy it.

What a great game
I'm a huge fan of puzzle games and I found machinarium amazing. To really appreciate the game I advise wearing headphones as the soundtrack is quality.
The levels begin nice and easy and then get bigger and bigger and can become frustrating at time, but in a good way.
If you enjoy puzzles this game is a must.
I just wish there was more like it on the iPad.
