Mixtikl just keeps getting better and better! Big thanks to Intermorphic for the passion they put into developing Mixtikl ; the most beautiful app for all levels of musician to enjoy.
Mixtikl played a major part in helping Middleschoolfrown and Jimmy Magee, beat eighty other bands to win the title of Best New Band in Glasgow 2011, the winning song 'She Waits for Someone' was written using Mixtikl and quite simply the song wouldn't have evolved without Mixtikl. Try Mixtikl, its a world of sound like no other.

This is a joint review in the sense that my wife, who's highly musical has played it and I and my two teenage sons, with little musical talent have been playing Mixtikl since we purchased the product just prior to Christmas. So in our household we had two ends of the spectrum. My wife got so much pleasure that the Yamaha baby grand is now complaining of feeling unloved. My wife wanted me to write this review but only so that I would stop playing with my iPod so that she could grab it from me. The kids liked the fact that they could use it pretty well instantly and get some enjoyable output. Even so, my advice would be to take time to learn about all the features as it's pretty packed. As long as someone doesn't have the attention span of a gnat then they should get a huge amount of pleasure (and some good music) out of this. Worth every cent.
Great for experimentation
I have had the app for a while now and not really used it much. As a composer of electronic/ambient music under the name of Carbonates On Mars I'm always looking for new was to generate sounds, rhythms and music. So I decided it was about time I played with Mixtikl. I'm so glad I have, I love the fact one can create loops using other apps and import them into a cell, then add effects to that loop. I have uploaded my first mix to soundcloud called ambient stream. I'm a gonna play some more, and look forward to more discoveries while doing so. Great work guys :-) 🌃🌃🌃🌃🌃🌃 6 stars
