TROUBLESHOOTING: A number of users have experienced no sound when initially playing the app content. Please check that you have switched the mute button off at the side of your hand set. Also check that the mute button is setup to be a sound selector rather than a orientation selector. Finally ensure that the volume slider on the video screen is zipped up to full volume. Everybody who has experienced sound issues has had success when following these instructions.

A Great App!
Even though the recommended age for this app is 4+, my (just) 3 year old grandson spent a considerable time repeating the sounds after Mr Thorne. This app will certainly grow with him and help him to read confidently in a short time. Brilliant to have an educational app which teaches in UK English! A rarity in the app store!
Mr Thorne does it again!
I'm a huge fan of Mr Thorne's website so couldn't wait to buy the app and it's brilliant! I'm training to be a teacher and think this app is perfect for brushing up on my Letters and Sounds, making me a more effective (and, hopefully, fun) teacher of phonics. My 7 year old has learnt to read using phonics and loves testing herself with this app...and laughing at me doing the same thing! Well done Mr Thorne!
Fabulous app
My daughter was standing in front of this app, imitating the hand gestures and spelling out the tricky words, having a fabulous time.
Why make learning a chore when it can be such fun with mr thorne?
Mr Thorne is engaging, entertaining and enriching for my daughter (aged six). This is the first app rating I have written, but sometimes a great site from a superlative makes one write something.
