Enter any throw distance to determine beam/field diameter and fc/lux for any selected fixture and lamp. Over 1000 fixture/lamp combinations are included in the library; which can easily be modified and sorted into Favorite Fixtures for quick recall.

All lamp information is clearly displayed below the fixture name; which includes wattage, color temperature, lamp life, beam & field angles, candela and candela multiplying factor. The lamp description includes the wattage and voltage.

Any fixture you add to your Favorites will be editable. This is also a great starting place to create your own fixtures if they're not already included in the database. To add your own fixtures to the db, you will need the lamp candela and fixture beam/field angles. This information is common on most spec sheets by the manufacturers online.

Access the manufacturers website by touching on their respective URL link within the App.
Calculations:
● For foot candles & lux: Candela x Candela Multiplying Factor divided by Throw Distance Squared.
● For beam and/or field diameter: Beam/Field angle x 0.018 x Throw Distance.

No Full Spot Details
I bought this app (version 1.3) to assist in planning a lighting package for a forthcoming job. Unfortunately the calculator only includes details (foot candles, beam diameter, etc) for fixtures on full flood. There is no full spot information to show the range of any given fixture. This leaves me either going on guess work or searching for the manufacturers specs.
In fairness when I contacted the designers of this app they got right back to me offering a full refund, however they didn't seam interested in, what to me is essentially completing what could be a great little app essential for all lighting professionals.
I hope this review warns others of this shortcoming before deciding if this app would still be of use to them but more importantly encourages the designers (who specialise in creating apps for those in the lighting industries) to finish the job.
