Very fun but addictive
I enjoy this game a lot and play it every day but, even for fake money poker, it’s quite addictive! I had $500K and lost it on the blackjack game that it has on it, I told myself no more gambling on the game until the free spin you get every four hours and the free game for money (fake) had got me back to at least 300K but once I had about 20K I went straight to a poker match and now I have under $100 again! I don’t want to grow up with a gambling addiction! Other than addiction, very fun and I’d highly recommended it! One thing though: due to the addiction, do NOT buy any money on a game like this; I never have but I know that’s when it would turn into real gambling!
Upset & annoyed
I love this game... sort of. The graphics are good, it’s a great way to practise poker, and I don’t particularly mind waiting 4 hours in between spins and free matches. I’m neither a novice nor an expert at poker, but I’ve been stuck on a level with a 70k buy in for weeks now, and it just feels so fixed. The blinds go up incredibly quickly, so if you don’t follow through with a hand early, you fall far behind very fast. Every time I take a risk and go all in (the only way to win these big stacks) one of the AI players always wins big on the river and I’ve wasted 2 more days of waiting for spins and free matches. I refuse to spend money on a game that’s not real, but I feel like the game is rigged against me and will stay that way until I enter my card details. I didn’t touch this game for almost a year as I got stuck on the final level of continent 2 for too long and got bored. I started playing again a few weeks ago, won the level I’d been stuck on first try and used the slot machine (the new mini game) and won 200k on my 5th spin? I haven’t won anything more than 10k since. I don’t want to gamble with real money, it’s a slippery slope and it’s very addicting. I just want to play poker against fake people and win fake trophies... if this game really is a ruse, and to progress you have to spend money, then I wish the company would be upfront about that fact.
The fixed hands are just tiresome
A lot about this game is great, it runs well, I like the way you work your way round the globe, you don’t feel like you have to pay lots to enjoy the game but when every single hand is fixed, it just gets tiresome. It’s not even always against you but you can 100% guarantee that if you miss the flop, the computer will hit on the turn or river...every single time, yawn. As well as this, it intentionally makes action pots whereby it’ll give you trips on the flop, only to give another player quads on the turn and river, it’s not even subtle so you end up just having to check so many good hands as you know if you bet it’ll bite you.
Another poor part of the game is that the computer just checks endlessly, even to the point where they check the nuts even on the river, kinda boring and takes any variety out of the game.
I’m not sure why developers think rigging every pot will make people buy more coins because if I felt that the hands were truly random I’d be much more inclined to buy more coins/tickets regularly to be able to progress through the game faster. Because it’s so clearly fixed I just get my free coins when I can, hope to make it through the fixed game, then maybe progress a level. Poor decision making from this company. Shame, would happily give 5 stars and spend lots of money on it if it wasn’t for that.
