Quickka Calories 2.1
There is a large list of off the shelf products which are defined in the library. this is great if you live by only buying pre made food, or snacks, which anybody trying to manage weight doesn't. to make up regular meals you need to add parts of ingredients which is just too fiddly. during typing to find your selection the app crashes (a lot) which is really annoying.
Also you cannot account for basal metabolism, so the app wants you to account for each and every calorie you enter...
Constant crashing and excellent aesthetics
This application 'looks' good actually is beautiful to look at, it's a pity that is pretty useless as it constantly crashes when searching for foods. The UI is not as clear as it seems on first hand. When adding your own foods ( in my case most if the time as I don't eat packaged meals ) the process is painful because when you tap in one field after filling it instead of editting you loose all the content and need to start again. Also it is very difficult to add data on past days for example if you forget to do it at the time if eatingand want to add the information days later. It is possible... But is not easy!
When adding decimals all the numbers give Tap sounds but not the period button this one does not make a sound making the user experience inconsistent. This might seem like a small thing but it shows that this application was not tested fully before released.
This us the first ever review I write and i do it out of frustration as this application pottentially could be brilliant but right now us not good enough. I hope the developer improves it soon.
