Doesn't work
Tried playing this game 8-10 times since downloading it this morning and it keeps crashing before it gets to any menu. Tried clearing the memory and restarting but that does nothing. I was really looking forward to this...
Crap
Very basic, poor controls and The dice don't work fairly. I just attacked a country from four countries and lost all my armies, while they lost none. I had 6 on each country against 1 country of 5. So 24 against 5 and I lost every army while they lost not a single army. And this wasn't a 1 off, it's the norm. A truly terrible version of what is, in my opinion, the best board game ever.
Good but ...
I have played this through a few times in single player mode, winning twice. The game plays pretty much like other computer versions of Risk and is faithful to the original board version. The interface is good, not too many taps required. Some way to see what cards you are holding, and their values, would be helpful. The AI plays fairly well (on medium) but is occasionally a bit gung-ho leaving the computer player vulnerable to counter attacks.
What I *HATE* about this game are all the un-necessary animations which waste time, consume power and add practically nothing to the game. Have them at the start and finish if you must but the same thing at the end of each phase, for every player, for every round, WHY?
