• Contacts - Skype can sync and upload your device contacts to Microsoft's servers so that you can easily find and connect with your contacts that already use Skype.
• Microphone - The microphone is needed for people to hear you during audio or video calls or for you to record audio messages.
• Camera - The camera is needed for people to see you during video calls, or for you to be able to take photos or videos whilst you’re using Skype.
• Location - You can share your location with other users or use your location to help find relevant places near you.

I ve used it before for many decades but it was very expensive back then and had now technology had advanced so there wasn’t any need for Skype App from Microsoft company and haven’t used for some time
Because of endless problems and still with sound problems on my landline number & all smartphones, devices with poor mobile & wifi connections I decide$ to come back to Skype and all people told me that Skype was the best option with a subscription and worth trying it out again after many decades. This is life with all technology and with all things I have experienced in my lifetime after our lives washed away in our old age & regardless of young & old we all have our health issues too making it more difficult to move forward due to our health.
When you’re calling may drop!!!
This is a great way to communicate with your folks or loved one! But at times it’s nuts! WHY , because it crashes and at weekends is not good at times so after literally seconds it’s over before it starts! But don’t loose faith because it’s an app and it’s free! But at peak demand it’s poor as it’s so heavily dependent on wi fi or you’re internet speed or the service provider that you use. I still like it but it can be frustrating when you need or loose connection to your caller! I don’t have a fix but they Microsoft support need to sort this out ASAP which after 2 months has not changed in UK! Other countries in Europe have a similar situation but have higher call rate success! The moral of this is be prepared to call dozen times to get yourself call time and video call is very poor quality and as such crashes more than the calls so it’s mainly the phone and messaging service that is really only of such a good service to use. Uk customer experience who calls European countries.
