Convenience 5 star
I love the fact I can book tee times outside of office hours and secure the times I want. Often ringing a course can be a painful experience as they either don’t answer or if they do in some cases they sound rushed as they are also dealing with walk in’s in the golf shop and you are keeping them on the phone. Yes often you pay slightly more through Golfnow but I’ll take that for the convenience. I know some courses don’t want to be on Golfnow but it’s complete madness as those on here must do financially better than those that aren’t. Golfnow will be due 6 stars when it gets every course in the uk on its system!
Great for non member golfers
I think this is a great app for golfers who aren’t members anywhere I find I can play most courses close to me for the same price as inly 9 holes direct, only poor part is the update to the course as I have played a couple of times when I’m in the middle of a medal or part of a society day(don’t know if the club or the company need better communication)
Warning app charged me 5 times
I went to book a round and i tried 5 tee times which were showing available. Upon clicking each one it said the tee time was no longer available.
Later in the day I happened to log onto my online banking and to my horror I have 5 rounds of golf payments pending but no actual round of golf booked.
I phoned customer service who said it happens from time to time and to wait several days. Good job I have spare funds otherwise I’d be without money. imagine if I had selected more dates.
I advise using a topup bank card such as monzo to prevent this occurring.
please can the developer look i to this urgently as it should not happen no excuse simple.
