Description

Transform a scene into a miniature world. This application simulates a tilt-shift lens that tricks your mind into viewing a photo as a miniature scene like a model railroad for example.

Focus on a linear or elliptical region in the image with visual guides and interactively adjust the amount of blur for maximum effect. Increase color saturation, contrast or brightness to increase the toy model look.

Create a nice bokeh effect with the lens blur filter in night scene photos.
Blooming strength and threshold are adjustable.
You can even choose a shaped aperture (hexagon, heart, dollar sign, etc.) if you like.

The size and orientation of the focus can be adjusted
by the multi-touch gestures pinch in, pinch out
and rotation of two fingers around a common center.

Practice with dozens of images that are included or use the camera and photo roll.

The resulting image can be saved in high resolution.
Both portrait and landscape mode are supported.

Please have a look at a video review by Vu Bui, a photographer and cinematographer from Southern California.
This review demonstrates nicely how TiltShift can be used.

Not too bad...

Sharpening not as good as expected! Leaves the sharp areas a bit fuzzy, not a bad app though... Should be cheaper!

Fun photo miniaturisation effects

A pretty polished little app for "tilt shifting" your photos - either directly from the camera or from your photo library.

Intuitive and easy to use (hint: use two fingers to rotate the 'in focus' mask) though the buttons would benefit from being a bit larger, and I'm not a fan of the app randomly selecting an example image from its own library when launching - I'd prefer a simple "get started" menu (your photos / take picture / example pic) instead.

Honestly thought these are minor points / suggestions; it's a brilliant little app, thoroughly recommended, and easily worth the quid it cost!

Create some stunning images

My review only encompasses the iPad version of this app. I feel the iPhone's screen might be too small to get the full benefit of this app.

That said, the iPad version allows you to create some really stunning images with extremely little effort. I've been using my own photos that I've built up over the years and cannot believe how good the tilt shift effect can be.

The only issues I would raise are minor:
- When using the slider at the bottom of the screen this seems to inadvertently move the focus area.
- It would also be handy that each time you go to select from your iPad's photo library the app could remember where you were last. It would save trawling through long lists each time.

However, this is a great app that I'd definitely recommend.
