Words With Friends Classic 4+

I love this game!
I can play with others all around the world and have found competitors who are at a similar level as me which means it all the more challenging. I don’t tend to get involved in the chat section and find that if you don’t respond to chat, the player stops taking their turn. This leaves me suspicious.
I don’t purchase anything on the app because I feel the tile swaps etc as cheating. I’m not a fan of the adds either but because I’m using the free version, it’s something that I have to put up with. The app producers quite rightly need to make an income so I accept them nonchalantly.
I am experiencing some recent issues with being unable to move my tiles and have found the only way to get around this is to delete the app and then download it again. I don’t lose any games while doing this but it is a bit of a pain. Unfortunately, I don’t seem to be able to find a way to report this, hence the review.
Even though I have a few qualms, this is still my ‘go to’ game. You’ve got to keep those grey cells active!

I have played WWF for many years and have loved it. I mainly play with family and people I know in the real world. If I do play with strangers I usually do not chat just play. Unfortunately I made the mistake of actually talking to a man who appeared nice at first. In a nutshell he romanced me and asked to talk on WhatsApp, he has told me he is in a country on business with poor internet and told me his dad is unwell. Ever since he has pressured me constantly to send money. I am switched on and of course I declined and he became nasty.
I just want to warn people that if you don’t know the person you are playing in reality do not chat to them, but if you do be very cautious!

Sadly the latest update has rather spoiled this app. For a start the play button is too close to your play tiles and in the centre so it is now far too easy to inadvertently hit the play button when you are still moving tiles to create the word. So if you are for example putting down admit and you have ad and go to put on the m and touch the play button you score much less and look stupid. Move the play button to the side. Also on the various events they don’t always use the Words With Friends dictionary. The button showing where you can play shows there is a 6 letter word but the dictionary shows only 4 or 5 letter words. OK I don’t use those hints much, but all games should use your own dictionary. This was a really good App, appreciate you need to have advertising but making stupid changes will probably lessen your income not raise it.
