About Children of the Bong

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Playing keyboards in my primary school talent show with a friend who owned an impressive home organ with an arpeggiator. We did our own version of ‘Eye of the tiger’ called ‘Tooth of the Lion’!! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here Pixies, Doolittle The Orb, The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld (Deluxe Edition) [Remastered Digital Version] Pixies shifted my musical perception, I don’t know why but Doolittle does a lot for me! I loved the synths in most 80s music but WYWH had a different warmth. The Orb joined the dots, every time I hear it I’m back in my post club hazy happy place. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Ultrascope (2022 Remaster)” The tracks we made prior to Ultrascope were mellow ambient dub that always went down well live but never got the dancefloor moving, so we made Ultrascope to have the the two things that got us dancing; Funk and Acid. It became our 1st proper release. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Recording a Peel session. It came at the time when lots of things were starting to happen and I joked with a friend that we had all these things going on AND John Peel called. A week later John Peel called and was a bit of a turning point for us. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Sirius Sounds was released as a 2xLP and CD and had a limited time of 80 mins. Our songs are so long we could only fit 8 songs on it. There we lots of tracks that didn't get released, so I'm really excited to get everything we did out there soon :)
