Biography
After becoming a leading figure in the U.K.’s Americana scene with his band Grand Drive, singer/songwriter/guitarist Danny Wilson introduced the likeminded project Danny and the Champions of the World in 2008 with a self-titled debut album on Loose Music. The label’s name was appropriate since the Champions would consist of Wilson and a loose group of musicians including friends like Joe Bennett of the band Goldrush and roots rocker Neal Casal. The group released its second album, Streets of Our Time, in 2010, along with the single “Restless Feet.”
