Biography
British boy band JLS — short for Jack the Lad Swing — are best known for placing second behind winner Alexandra Burke on the fifth season of the reality talent show The X Factor in 2008. Featuring the vocal talents of Oritsé Williams, Aston Merrygold, Jonathan Gill, and Marvin Humes, JLS formed in London in 2007. Post- X Factor, JLS signed with Epic Records and released the single "Beat Again" in 2009. JLS's full-length, self-titled debut album was released later that year. In 2010, in anticipation of the group's sophomore effort, JLS released a six-song, self-titled EP. The band also picked up a few Brit Awards that same year.~ Matt Collar, Rovi
