Late of the Pier

About Late of the Pier

Based in Castle Donington and formed by 16- and 17-year-olds in 2004, Late of the Pier are an indie electro band unique to their scene. Complex but utterly danceable, with songs laced with dirty bass, synths, and video game SFX, the most common reference point is the Klaxons, but comparisons have been made to artists all over the genre map, from Prince to Frank Zappa to the Human League. The four-track,14-cut Zarcorp Demo surfaced first as a free internet download, followed by a limited-edition 12" in March of 2007, and two more singles in 2008. ~ Jason Lymangrover
