Biography

A UK rock band that met up in Berlin, the Mighty Roars took the adversity of losing a member and making roster changes head on, and in the process scored a deal with indie darling label, One Little Indian. The band first came to notoriety with the track "Daddy Oh," which was an online hit. Indie label Little Teddy came knocking with an offer, and Mighty Roars were able to release their debut EP, Take a Bite of Peach, in 2005. In the midst of numerous performances and critical raves, the Mighty Roars were faced with a bit of a twist when their drummer was sent packing. Bassist David switched to the drumstool, and Lara took up the bass over the guitar, while guitarist Martin stayed put. One Little Indian courted the band immediately after the new configuration's first show, and the Mighty Roars were off to Sweden to record. When the process stalled, the group moved shop to Wales and finished their first full length, Sellotape, which was released in early 2008.
