Interesting
A very good read - interesting characters and a not-so-obvious conclusion. One of his better stand-alone books.
Difficult to put down....
I have read all the ‘Thorne’ books thus far and in order. I really enjoyed the tension in this one and found it difficult to put down. Great story line and a very frightening insight into a disturbed and twisted mind! Top marks from me

This to date, has to be one of Mark Billingham's finest books.
Taken into the underbelly of counselling and addictive personalities. The murder story almost became secondary to the excellent exploration of the characters themselves.
Well deserved of the 5* rating. A fabulous read, that relentlessly plays with your mind and your assumptions .
