Love it
My god this book had the wow factor.
Intelligent Page-Turner
It's not an easy combination to pull off... a fast-paced adventure story that keeps your attention from page 1 until the end, combined with a book that is both intelligently written and insightful. I note from other people that have reviewed the book, particularly teachers, that they are impressed with the historical context of the adventure. The possibilities for future books are endless.
It seems to have been incredibly popular with the target age-group - surely the ultimate seal of approval. To also entertain someone like me, who is far from the target demographic, is not easy to pull off.
It's all too easy to compare authors with those we are already familiar with. I suggest Damian Dibben deserves recognition in his own right. A very worthy 5-star recipient.
