Perfect

I started this on April 23 (5 weeks ago today) after a girlfriend recommended it. IMO, it's definitely not a 'diet'. And if you're looking for recipes, forget it, because there are none. Instead, as Sarah told me, it's a brilliant book talking about getting skinny in a way we've both never seen before. I've read the other reviews and trash in the papers, but sorry, you simply can't find better explanations of food, exercise and psychology, ANYWHERE - and I work in health publishing! Skinny Dipping (cold baths) is a revelation, as is the effect on my thighs, and before you slate skipping breakfast, read the chapter on it first. Or skip this book and miss out full stop. 5 weeks in to doing it, all I'm missing out on is a stone of lost body fat. Utterly recommended.

Perfect answers for anyone with an open mind

Explains how the body removes and creates fat. Once that's known it's easy to chose to remove or create fat.

At last, some researched evidence to back an eating plan

Ok, Venice needs to hone his writing skills somewhat but his sheer enthusiam to self publish and tell people his message can't be faulted. And it works! I'm trying it ( maybe not the cold baths!) but I'm changing shape, not hungry and only eat three meals a day. I now remember this was how I was fed as a child; you weren't allowed to eat or drink in class or in between meals in case it spoiled your appetite; now it looks like constant snacking spoils your shape and your metabolism! I would be interested to hear about any research linking our generation's constant snacking and the resultant constant insulin release to the massive recent rise in Type 2 diabetes and Syndrome X .Back over to you Venice!
