Description
Hazel Bannock is the heir to the Bannock Oil Corp, one of the major oil producers with global reach. While cruising in the Indian Ocean, Hazel's private yacht is hijacked by African pirates. Hazel is not on board at the time, but her nineteen year old daughter, Cayla, is kidnapped and held to ransom. The pirates demand a crippling twenty billion dollar ransom for her release. Complicated political and diplomatic considerations render the civilized major powers incapable of intervening. When Hazel is given evidence of the horrific torture which Cayla is being subjected to, she calls on Hector Cross to help her rescue her daughter. Hector is the owner and operator of Cross Bow Security, the company which is contracted to Bannock Oil to provide all their security. He is a formidable fighting man. Between them Hazel and Hector are determined to take the law into their own hands.

Great Storyteller woeful research
One o the greatest storytellers of all time has finally lost it and let down badly his thousands of fans who in the past have hung on his every word. Those in Peril is not as it's title and blurb suggests about a SuperYacht it a second rate essay on revenge. If Smith has ever seen a SuperYacht it was in a magazine if he has ever been on a tanker it was for cocktails because his ignorance on how this things operate ruined what could have been a good tale. This book is definitely very much below par for this great man
Classic Wilbur Smith!
Throughly enjoyed it, great also that Wilbur hasn't used someone else to write for him - a sad norm for other writers I used to respect. I look forward to the next one!!
Rubbish
What drivel! Starts out promising with some great story telling but then it turns into a 3rd rate romantic novel written in a language similar to Barbra Cartland. Don't waste your money, find something else to read.
