30 Days Of Night: Dark Days
I agree with Samantha Asher, this was not the sequel i was expecting and compared to the first film its really is a poor attempt. There is a location change from Barrow to Los Angeles, which i thought was a bad move. The blood on snow in Barrow made the first gruesome and disturbing, this film lost most of its originality with the location change. And another thing that spoilt the film is Kiele Sanchez playing Stella, instead of Melissa George who protrayed her a lot better in the original. This film just didn't freak me out like the first film did, it was too cliched to be any good. Stick with the first film instead, that was a near perfect horror film, this is disappointing.
Stitch up!
I agree with the others. its just an attempt to make money off the success of the original.
This just looks rubbish. The original 30 days of night was a surprisingly good film that had me on the edge of my seat at times, and i am a hardened horror fan.
I won't be watching this one at all.
Shame
First to address CSI Brown. If you know the 30 Days of Night stories you will understand that Stella leaves Barrow to try and highlight the vampires to the rest of humanity and this includes visiting LA where she has written a book exposing what happened in Barrow, so this fits with the original graphic novels to which the films are based on.
That said, given the success of the first film it seems really confusing that such a poor attempt was made at a sequel. This is like watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer the movie - pretty bad, Such a shame that a film series could be ruined in one sequel.
