really cool
This was very good and enjoyable. It's rare to see a short film with a good story, as well as great production with great CGI to compliment it.
I would love to see a feature version of this. The director is obviously someone to watch.
Sci-fi style over substance
A visually competent sci-fi short that has some interesting ideas of his own and a lot of borrowed ones. In Italian with English subtitles, the subtitles are not 100% accurate (they never are...). The main character Quinto, for example, means fifth instead is translated as five, this might mean nothing to you but if you see the the film you will understand how this fails to trigger a light moment as it should.
The plot suggests many things but it only shows glimpses and ends abruptly without a real ending and yet one can appreciate the stylish effort. Just don't expect Blade Runner and you might enjoy it. The director clearly has a degree of visual flair but it's hard to judge screenwriting talent solely on this short alone.
Beautiful
If you like your sci-fi and the work of Jean-Pierre Jeunet then this film will hit the spot. It's a beautifully crafted film which draws you into it's world with style. Beautiful and engaging filmmaking. Giacomo Cimini is a director to keep an eye on for sure.
