Plot Summary

Emboldened by the return of Lord Voldemort, the Death Eaters are wreaking havoc in both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Dumbledore is intent upon preparing Harry for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. He needs Harry to help him uncover a vital key to unlocking Voldemort's defenses--critical information known only to Hogwarts' former Potions Professor, Horace Slughorn. Meanwhile, teenage hormones rage across the ramparts as Harry's long friendship with Ginny Weasley is growing into something deeper. But standing in the way is Ginny's boyfriend, Dean Thomas, not to mention her big brother Ron. Ron's got romantic entanglements of his own to worry about, with Lavender Brown lavishing her affections on him, leaving Hermione simmering with jealousy yet determined not to show her feelings. One student, however, remains aloof with far more important matters on his mind. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one.

Customer Reviews

Expensive

Good Film shame yet again by the high itunes price, £6.71 at Asda for a two disc version.

Rip off!!

Decent film hence the 3 star rating, but won't be buying it at this ridiculous price. itunes should be ashamed of themselves. This film is SO much cheaper elsewhere, they're just ripping people off.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

You can't really compare the film to the book because the books are far, far better than the films. But due to the cost and time of the film, they can not include every detail of the book, which is a shame. I do prefer the books, but the films give me a visual version of the story and brings the books to life. It is a brilliant film and a must if you have seen all the other films. The last film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is going to be made into a two-part film, which will be out late next year.

The cast are brilliant as always and the acting is superb. The CGI is incredible, escpecially the destruction of the bridge in the first few scenes. A very good film for all the family.
