Order Of The Phoenix

What a brilliant film. I have been a huge fan of Harry Potter since the release of the first book, The Philosophers Stone. They are amazing to watch, with great characters, great actor/actress, amazing computer graphics, and a they are a great collection of films. We left the Goblet of Fire in the final moments, with the death of Cedric Diggory and the return of Lord Voldemort. In the Order Of the Poenix, He Who Must Not Be Named is on the Warpath. Dementors are going where they shouldn't go, and follow and attack Harry and his cousin Dudley. The Ministry of Magic don't believe he is back and will not listen to Harry or Dumbledore. The Daily Prophet, by order of the minstry, print rediculous articles about Dumbledore and Harry. And they are invading Hogwarts with the introduction of Dolores Umbridge as an professor to the school. But things go wrong, and they plan out the way the ministry expects and they have to understand that Voldemort is back whether they like it or not. And one of the main charcters is lost in the final battle. It is a brilliant film. no doubt, but i perfer the books rather than the films. The only reason is that with the films there is alot missing and alot of the plot from the book ha changed. But i am not slating the films, they are amazing. Harry Potter and the Order Of the Phoeniz gets 10/10.

A great dissapointment.

Definatly the worst Harry Potter film so far. Such a shame, though, because it was my favourite book. But I thought it looked rushed, and they missed so much out - mostly the good bits. A great dissapoinment, in my opinion, yet everyone else seams to think its the best so far (possibly because they have not read the books?) ?? If you really want to enjoy Harry Potter without reading the books, I suggest listening to Stephen Fry's Harry Potter audio books - they are amazing. He does all the different voices, and makes it ten times more entertaining.

Still going strong

After five films, the strong, complex plotting and repertory company of characters is still propelling the Potter series on, becoming darker and more foreboding still in this entry. Daniel Radcliffe provides an at times impressive performance, for the first time indicating he may truly become a talented young actor, while Hermoine and Ron don't seem to have many hero moments here - the focus more than ever before is on Harry himself as he grows up and reluctantly takes on a leadership role. While there are the usual parade of fantasy creatures and magical stunts, the serious tone and at times slightly laboured plotting thankfully do not weigh down the entertainment and emotion. After Azkaban, Oldman returns to primary guest star status (along with an excellent turn by Imelda Staunton) with a chance to show his kindly side, and a previously wasted Rickman as Snape at last gets a couple of meaty scenes, while dreamy, mysterious newcomer Luna Lovegood is also a highlight. While less action led than some of the other movies, for emotion this is possibly the best entry so far, with a gripping climax.
