Plot Summary
In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry, Ron and Hermione, now teenagers, return for their third year at Hogwarts, where they are forced to face escaped prisoner, Sirius Black, who poses a great threat to Harry. Harry and his friends spend their third year learning how to handle a half-horse half-eagle Hippogriff, repel shape-shifting Boggarts and master the art of Divination. They also visit the wizarding village of Hogsmeade and the Shrieking Shack, which is considered the most haunted building in Britain. In addition to these new experiences, Harry must overcome the threats of the soul-sucking Dementors, outsmart a dangerous werewolf and finally deal with the truth about Sirius Black and his relationship to Harry and his parents. With his best friends, Harry masters advanced magic, crosses the barriers of time and changes the course of more than one life. Directed by Alfonso Cuaron and based on J.K. Rowling's third book, this wondrous spellbinder soars with laughs, and the kind of breathless surprise only found in a Harry Potter adventure.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Akzaban
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is a great film and is one of my favourite books out of the whole series. This is Harry's third year and it is another eventful year. The Azkaban Prison is a notorious prison in the wizard world, where the worst of the worst are kept, and has not had a breakout ever, until the news of a dangerous muggle killer named Sirius Black had escaped. Harry is later informed, this is the person who was supposed to have been a follower of Voldemort and had been the one who had told Voldemort of their whereabouts resulting in their deaths. There are alot of twist in this film and the person responsible for Harry Potter's parents death is revealed. Definitely one of the best Harry Potter films there is.
Poetic vision
This Harry Potter certainly came courtesy of the most poetically minded of all the film's directors. It's has always felt like the film least constrained by the need to slavishly follow the books and stands alone as a more gently experimental approach - something not so easily repeated as we rush headlong to the series finale. Well done Alfonso.
Excellent
The Prisoner of Azkaban has to be one of the better films of the series. It really set the pace and tone of the films yet to come: dark, mysterious, and above all more gripping. The Potter books will always be a lot better in terms of narrative and structure to the films, but the films are their to complete the collection, and PoA is one I am proud to display on my DVD shelf
