Plot Summary
Russia 1010: Warlord Yaroslav rules the kingdoms to the North of Kiev with an iron fist, conquering new lands to gather taxes for his father, Grand Prince Vladimir. But keeping rule in these bloody times is a constant battle, as barbarian hordes are ransacking local settlements to enslave those fit for sale. Epic film!
Really good battle scenes!
Tried but failed
Appreciate the Director tried to make this authentic - and in a way he did with the subtitles, storyline, cinematography and wardrobe, but the film still lacked punch. I had to give up before I got to the end, which is something I think I have only ever done once before out of the thousands of films I've watched. If you are going to rent this because of the genre, dont. Rent Iron Clad or something similar instead.
Worth a watch
It was ok, good if your interested in this period of history but wasnt as action packed as the trailer makes out and lacked any major battle scenes. No where near as good as ironclad.
