Plot Summary
Trouble-prone teen Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of school – but that's the least of his problems. The gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters seem to have walked out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology texts and into his life – and they're not happy. Zeus' lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Now, Percy and his friends must return Zeus' stolen property and unravel a mystery more powerful than the gods themselves.

if you loved the books, you'll love this. Different but both as a good as each other.

You have to accept that it can't follow the boox excactly otherwise it would be four hours long. The film is a great idea and just because it is different from the book doesn't mean that it doesn't bring good things as well as bad things to the film.
Same old, same old
There is some kind of great evil that threatens the whole world and only one person can save us...but wait! this person has superpowers and they didn't know it! now they must go on an epic journey to learn to master them and face the ultimate challenge!
