- 1. "Jog Along Bess" by Vashti Bunyan: "A lullaby for any time of day. It's like kids' music for adults. A real favourite of Martina's."
- 2. "My Moon My Man" by Feist: "This track is instantly vibey. The instrumentation is so simple but full, and Feist's voice really gets the room it deserves. Haven't heard a song like this ever before."
- 3. "Long Distance Call" by Phoenix: "Phoenix are great. They can sound like Prince and an indie band in almost the same breath, like in this song where the verses are so dry and funky and the chorus is all skinny-jeans guitar-like."
- 4. "Dancing Machine" by Jackson 5: "This is great groove music that doesn't get made anymore. It's heavy and funky, but light and easy at the same time—maybe because a kid is singing it—and makes you think like you'd have to practice some dance moves before stepping out to this song."
- 5. "A Little Bit Of Shhh" by Lady Sovereign: "We've loved Lady Sov since before she had to leave for the USA to get reborn in the UK. Now that she's back with big new tunes we're glad to have a new batch to listen to. She's rude, which isn't necessarily cool, but she's cool because she's so good at what she does."
- 6. "F-cking Boyfriend" by The Bird and the Bee: "Bird and the Bee are awesome. They write soundscape-y songs that sound like they're for kids (but are called Be My Fucking Boyfriend), and Peaches' Teutonic remix seems like the least likely pairing until you are reminded that the song is called..."F-cking Boyfriend". Right."
- 7. "Song 4 Mutya (Out of Control)" by Groove Armada featuring Mutya: "This song sounds like today's take on Gary Numan's "Cars", which everybody knows is one of the better pop songs out there. It's also a Groove Armada track, and we have always loved Groove Armada."
