Typical Hip-Hop Compilation...a couple of killers, but mostly fillers.

East Coast Hip-Hip....if you know nothing about it, then this is possibly a reasonable plae to start but, really, do we need 50 Cent's "In Da Club"? Not entirely sure how Akon or Mary J blige count as east coast hip-hop either (Mary J has tenuous links...). Of course, to anyone discovering the Golden Age of Hip-Hop for the first time, the likes of "Just To Get A Rep", "They Reminisce Over You" and "Shook Ones Part 2" will set you on the right track...but of all the Public Enemy tracks that could've been picked..."911 Is A Joke" was one of theier weakest and "Half Time" would've been a much better choice for Nas...also, i'm no geography major, but Detroit (Eminem's home town) it's not exactly East "Coast", now is it...and while Run DMC introduced hip-hop to the world, "Walk This Way" is hardly their best...and please, Jah Rule? Come on! If you're a purist, you already own the best cuts here...if you're not or you're new...ask a friend and save yourself some money. Old School, new school..whatever; it's either hip-hop or r&b here...
Below Average...sorry!

Weak representation of East Coast Hip Hop

Don't buy this whole album, just cherry pic the PE (not 911!) Mobb Deep, Gang Starr, 3rd Bass tracks to name a few. The owners of this compilation forgot to put R&B against some of the tracks..

50 Cent, really?!

For almost every dope track, there's a weak one.

Avoid...
