- 2. "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson: "He may be a little odd, but he made some incredible music. This has a disco shuffle to it that still sounds so fresh. It will go on for ever."
- 3. "Freak" by LFO: "Pioneers is probably a description they would hate, but this track is just incredible. It is so dark, brutal and intense but has a beauty and subtlety to it that only LFO could create."
- 4. "Killing In the Name" by Rage Against the Machine: "The bluntest, biggest, most aggressive and powerful record ever made. You cannot help but jump around to this."
- 5. "Let's Dance" by David Bowie: "Could have been anything by Bowie, this is maybe not his best track ever but has something about it that makes you want to...well, dance."
- 6. "I Want More" by Can: "Again Can were big influences on our album, we listened to them a lot in the studio. This is a pop moment from a truly avant-garde band, which shows just how incredible and unique they were when they can turn their hand to a 12-minute psychedelic instrumental and this track that got performed on Top of the Pops."
- 7. "Subterranean Homesick Blues" by Bob Dylan: "It is Dylan at his most playful, musically and lyrically. I love this era of Dylan, grungy blues."
- 8. "E-Musik" by Neu!: "Krautrock, as you can probably tell from this list, crops up quite a bit. This track by Neu! sounds so relevant and so free, they were doing exactly what they wanted and creating tracks that have a life of their own."
- 9. "Time to Pretend" by MGMT: "It is such an of-the-moment track but already feels like a classic. It's like a call to arms to have fun and enjoy life although with a melancholic undertone, sort of sums up society at the moment. It ultimately feels very positive though and always fills a dance floor."
- 10. "Chemical Beats" by The Chemical Brothers: "It was one of the first records to bring me over from indie into dance music. It has such energy, sounds so new and opened my world up totally."
- 12. "Whip It" by Devo: "Again big influences on our album, that sort of creative pop sound. Totally odd but still really catchy and popy. Sounds amazing in the club in scar face too. It’s a disco record really."
- 13. "Five Minutes" by The Stranglers: "Amazing intro and quite electronic, then you are hit with a wall of guitars and bass. The track which is 03:15 has a video with a count down to 5 minutes...very confusing."
