- 1. "Don't Look Back In Anger" by Oasis: "The track that made me want to be in a band."
- 2. "Heatwave (Stereo)" by Martha Reeves & The Vandellas: "The best female vocal I've heard on record."
- 3. "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" by The Righteous Brothers: "My favourite Phil Spector song."
- 4. "Unfinished Business" by White Lies: "My favourite new band. Gonna be massive."
- 5. "River Deep Mountain High" by Ike & Tina Turner: "The passion in her voice is pheonomonal, the orchestral backdrop is stunning. It just makes you want to dance and sing at the top of your voice no matter where you are. I remember dancing to it in a supermarket in Brooklyn. Ha!"
- 6. "Picture This" by Blondie: "A brilliant tune for pre-going out. Makes you feel sassy. We can't all look like Debbie Harry but you can have a dance and pretend. She is a total icon."
- 8. "Just Like Heaven" by The Cure: "I bought a Cure 'best of' to see what the songs outside of 'Lovecats' and 'In Between Days' sounded like and was immediately hooked by this song. I don't know why I like it so much but i can listen to it many times and never get bored of it."
- 9. "Supersonic" by Oasis: "This is the first song I ever learned to play on the bass so I think for that alone it will always be special to me. Oasis are also responsible for me wanting to be in a band in the first place too as they were the band that made me realise you don't have to be a maestro on guitar or a tortured creative genius to do great things in music, that beauty can come from any walk of life. There are still loads of people I know who don't really get music but who absolutely love them. And I think that's a better legacy than a million critically acclaimed albums."
- 10. "F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.L.O.V.E." by Pulp: "I didn't get into Pulp until about 2002 when i bought 'Help The Aged.' I liked that but was totally blown away by Different Class. From start to finish it flows like any great album should and Jarvis Cocker's lyrics are amazing, quirky observations about life. This song takes a long time to start but that only adds to the suspense around it and it builds into one of the best choruses the band ever done."
