When Primal Scream and the Stone Roses set about fusing dance and rock around the dawn of the '90s, it was clear their respective formulas suffered from no lack of juice or psychedelic glee — here was a consignment of trippy rocket fuel for the masses, but how long would it last? Well, thanks to Kasabian, that rich, glittering, highly dangerous seam looks sure to produce no end of riches. The Leicester outfit bludgeoned their way into our rave cortex with 2004's self titled debut album (boasting several anthems to burn barricades by, including "Club Foot" and "L.S.F."), continued the charge with 2006's Empire, with its sideways shrapnel blast of a title track, and hit a high point with 2009's West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, featuring exceptional production work from Dan "The Automator" Nakamura. Blessed by Oasis and adored by the hoards, Kasabian walk it like they talk it — big and bad.
