    • 1. "Smalltown Boy" by Bronski Beat: "Beautiful lyrics, beautiful story. Tragic and sublime."
    • 2. "Sea of Sine Waves" by Kelley Polar: "I only just discovered Kelley Polar. I like the bass line drop after the intro."
    • 3. "Dreaming of Me" by Depeche Mode: "This has a charming vulnerability, a bit like the sentiment of 'I Want to Hold Your Hand' by the Beatles."
    • 4. "Follow You Follow Me" by Genesis: "Massive tune. A great love song. Many would say it's cheesy, but I don't think it is!"
    • 5. "So Far Away" by Dire Straits: "Our old sound engineer used to play this before soundcheck, and it feels really apt when you're away from home."
    • 6. "Africa" by Toto: "Probably the best song there is with the word Kilimanjaro in it."
    • 7. "To Lose My Life" by White Lies: "We covered this in the Radio 1 live lounge. White Lies are a brilliant band."
    • 8. "Brown Eyes" by Fleetwood Mac: "A beautiful song. I love the melodic progression of the vocals."
    • 9. "Caribbean Queen (No More Love On the Run)" by Billy Ocean: "A poor man's 'Billie Jean,' but I love it."
    • 10. "Broken" by Tears for Fears: "Epic guitar riff!"
    • 11. "Young Girls" by Sparks: "The lyrics are a bit wrong. Can't help but love it, though!"
    • 12. "Moonlight Serenade" by Glen Miller: "Classic. Classy. Tune."
    • 13. "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" by Rod Stewart: "No. Great song, though."

Holy hell!!

I feel the desire to 5 star this if only to even out the unjust 1 star ratings. I would like to point out to Chesshead that most music nowadays is very, very bad and that listening to Dire Straits and Genesis should be hailed. They are two absolutely classic bands that I myself listen to and if asked to compose a selection of my inspirations I would definitely put some of their songs in. Mark Knopfler's guitarwork is amazing, and instrumentally Genesis pushed the boundaries of music to a point that few other bands have managed. How about getting some culture into your brain instead of dismissing everything that Radio One isn't playing right now, this year, this week, this minute... because otherwise it's not proper music, is it? In that case you should be deleting every album you buy one year after it came out, cos it's "old news" now. Get a life.

having a laff

what no Status Quo, Hot Chocolate or Bon Jovi! I think La Roux was busy so got her mum to fill it in for her, " Now I know she likes those gays & she loves a bit of Rodda's".

where's the knife

I thought she was a huge fan of the Knife. Why's she promoting all this mainstream stuff?
